Mint Iced Coffee Latte

Mint Iced Coffee Latte

I am certainly not a morning person and the only coping mechanism I have for an early morning is my cup of coffee. As someone so eloquently said, " My morning coffee makes me feel I got my shit together. I DON'T. But it feels like it." But monotony gets a little boring and so I decided to experiment yet another variety of coffee. Each variety of coffee compliments a particular activity the best. The freshness offered in this recipe because of mint makes it the perfect drink to enjoy while reading your favourite book in the balcony whilst enjoying the summer heat.

Being a willing participant in this Lockdown's got talent, I have experimented various types of coffee (from Dalgona to Frappes). This recipe enhanced the fresh aroma of coffee along with mint and hence became a very calming drink for me. I hope this drink serves the same for you and becomes your companion for "Me Time" or just a great excuse for your family to bond over.

Kesar Elaichi Shrikhand (Saffron Cardamom Yogurt)

Kesar Elaichi Shrikhand (Saffron Cardamom Yogurt)

You can't be a foodie if u do not explore the outlets around the world. That is what I love about this profession as it does not limit me to a niche element but also allows me to expand my options.

Now a days people are very enthusiastic about Organic food and skin care, so I attended the inauguration of Adri Naturals. I found out the range of products that they have there . It ranges from cold pressed oils, Coconut, Sesame, Groundnut, Almond and many more. Premium quality of dry fruits, Honey, Saffron and personal care products.

I like their Packaging style as they avoided the usage of plastic. Their packaging material includes glass and that to in different sizes. For travel also they have a small and cute bottles and jars. So it is a package of cute display, organic care and eco friendly materials. I picked few products

In todays Recipe I used Saffron and Honey from Adri Naturals. I seriously liked the smoothness, texture and taste of honey. Even saffron colour is dark red and it smells sweet floral . So I get a perfect aroma of saffron in my dish.

Shrikhund is a very popular Summer dish. Its good for kids. though it is high in calories due to use of full cream curd and sugar so to make it better I replaced sugar with Honey. It is also high in Protein, Calcium, vitamin B2 and Phosphorus.

Dry Fruit Milk

Dry Fruit Milk

Summers are a time of conflicts. While children crave something chilled and light, a mother still worries about the lack of nutrition in their desired diet. This recipe is the compromise families require. It has the nutritional benefits of dry fruits and milk and the chilled comfort craved during summers. This recipe was omnipresent in my childhood and stayed in my mom's khazana for quite some while. She told me about this recipe when I became a mom and faced the same dilemma. It now is a khandani recipe.

Thandi Masala Chai

Thandi Masala Chai

As you all know my choice of dishes is very much inspired by my family and my daughter. I am always enthused to see them enjoying variety at home which normally is available in big eateries.

Nowadays my daughter is crazy about "Chaayos". She loves to hang out there enjoying Thandi Chai. Mother is blogger and daughter always talking big about outside eating outlets ...... it was surely pinching me somewhere.

So I thought of serving her favourite "Thandi Masala Chai" at home which she normally enjoys at Chaayos.

Today when she returned home from school, she said momma it is too hot and I need something very cold. I said ok let me serve you your favourite Thandi Masala chai. She said oh no.... I can't go to Chaayos . I am damm tired, just back from gruelling hours of studies.

You better serve something at home but it should be cold... Kuch thanda bana do please ..... I said when did I ask you to go out. I prepared it at home .

She liked it a lot. She is happy and said momma brought Chaayos at home. So if any chai lover wants to try this do try and share your inputs.
