For me most confusing question is what to pack in my daughter's lunch box or what to give her when she returns from her tennis or swimming class. I hope most of you mothers will agree with me. So just to get rid of this confusion I normally try to give my every day cooking a twist. Cheese Capsicum Wrap is one such example of our every day food served in a way our kids will enjoy ..

Paneer Wrap


Preparation Time : 10 -15 Min

Cooking Time : 10 Min

Ingredients :

For 4 Wraps



Procedure :
  • In a pan warm chapati from one side and then flip

  • Arrange cheese capsicum on chapati as shown in pic



  • Place salad leaf on this and roll the chapati like wrap



  • Apply butter on wrap and cook from both side as shown in pic





  • Transfer wrap on a platter and serve it hot with sauce 







Tip :
  • If you want to make it more spicey add a layer of green chutney on chapati
  • You can change the filling according to your taste

Crispy Corns with Veggies

Crispy Corns with Veggies

What to say about this ..... crispy corns tossed with vegetables, herbs and lemon juice can be enjoyed any time as a salad, snacks, starter ...



Preparation Time : 15 Min

Cooking Time : 10 Min

Ingredients :

  • 1 Cup corn kernel (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 Tablespoon corn flour 
  • 1 Tablespoon all purpose flour (Maida)
  • 1 Teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • Salt according to taste
  • Oil for frying


For Veggies :

  • 1 Teaspoon oil
  • 1 Teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 2 Green chilly chopped
  • 2 Tablespoon chopped spring onion (or normal onion)
  • 2 Tablespoon green and red capsicum chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped spring onion greens
  • 1 Teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon oregano seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped coriander

Procedure :

  • In a bowl take corn kernel add salt, black pepper, chopped garlic along with corn flour and maida and mix well. sprinkle few drops of water so that the flour and spices stick to corn





  • In a pan heat oil and deep fry the corn as shown in picture

  • Once corn is fried take out it on kitchen napkin so that the excess oil is removed



  • Take another pan add a teaspoon of oil add chopped garlic and cook for a minute

  • Now add chopped green chilly and chopped onions, sauté for 30 seconds



  • Add green and red capsicum cook this for 30 seconds on high flame

  • Now add fried corns to this mix well. season this with salt, crushed peppers, oregano



  • Add lemon juice and chopped coriander

  • Crispy corns with veggies are ready, serve it and enjoy 




Tips : 

  • Make sure veggies are not over cooked otherwise the salad will be soggy
  • You can add the spices according to your taste

Fruit and Nut Smoothie

OMG....What a challenge it is to make my daughter eat fruits. As a determined mother, I invented this recipe having banana, strawberry, dry fruits etc. mixed in her favorite chocolate base and serve her in no time. Do try this with your loved ones






Preparation Time : 5 -7 Min

Cooking Time : 0 Min

For 2 Glass

Ingredients :


  • 1 Banana
  • 4 Strawberries
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped almonds
  • 1 Tablespoon coco powder or chocolate syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon cranberry crush
  • 1 Cup chilled milk
  • 1 Cup vanilla ice-cream
  • 1 Teaspoon sugar or honey
Procedure :
  • In a mixer add chopped banana, strawberries, sugar, cranberry crush, coco powder along with chopped almonds and mix all well






  • Add milk and mix it again



  • Now add Ice-cream and mix it once again

  • Take a glass spread cranberry syrup or chocolate syrup on the sides of glass and pour it with Smoothie



  • Garnish it with some nuts, sugar candies and strawberry 


  • Enjoy ..

Cheese Capsicum

Cheese Capsicum

Paneer is one of the main ingredient of vegetarian food. We make so many snacks, starters, curries using paneer. This one is a very simple paneer preparation which I usually cook twice a week in my kitchen and this can be used in a many versatile ways. You can enjoy this with a normal chapati, apply on a bread and have open sandwich or can be be used as a filling for sandwich or you can have a yummy wrap of this ....



Preparation Time : 10 Min

Cooking Time : 8 -10 Min

Ingredients :



  • 1 Tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped ginger and garlic
  • 2 Green chilly chopped
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 2 Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 Capsicum sliced
  • 100 gm Cottage cheese (paneer)
  • 1 Teaspoon haldi (turmeric powder)
  • Red chilly powder according to taste
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1/2 Teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped coriander 
Procedure :
  • Finish cutting and chopping first
  • In a pan add oil heat it add cumin seeds and roast it for 10 seconds

  • Now add chopped ginger, garlic and cook for a minute

  • As ginger, garlic is cooked for a minute add sliced onions and chopped green chillies and cook for sometime till onions are translucent 



  • Now add chopped tomatoes to this along with haldi powder, salt and chilly powder and cook for 2 minutes or till tomatoes are cooked properly and masala leave the oil 





  • Now add sliced capsicum to this and toss it for a minute in masala as shown in picture



  • Add scrambled paneer to this mixture and cook for a minute. don't over cook the paneer 




  • Add garam masala and chopped coriander before serving

  • Serve it with chapati , bread or pav ....
