Stir Fry Exotic Veggies

Vegetables are good for health. Salads are the best option to keep you fit and healthy. But salads are boring too. So to enjoy taste bhi and health bhi try this Stir fry veggies......



Preparation Time : 10 Min

Cooking Time : 10 Min

Ingredients :

  • 1 Teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon chopped lemon grass
  • 1 Bok Choy ( roughly chopped )
  • 2 Spring onion sliced
  • 1/2 Zucchine chopped
  • 15 - 20 French beans chopped (as shown in picture)
  • 1 Red bell pepper diced 
  • 1/2 Cup chopped baby corn
  • 1 Cup broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 1 Cup diced cabbage
  • Few basil leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon chilly flakes
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1 Teaspoon soya sauce
  • 1 Table spoon olive oil 

Procedure :
  • Wash vegetables and finish all cutting and chopping

  • In a wok take a tablespoon of oil, add chopped garlic to this and saute it for 10 seconds

  • Now add beans to this and saute for a minute or two then add baby corn to this and saute for a minute



  • Now add Sliced spring onion to this along with chopped zucchini add chilly flakes and chopped lemon grass to this and sauté this on high flame for a minute sprinkle salt to this





  • Now add broccoli florets and chopped bell pepper and cook for a minute



  • Add roughly chopped bok toy and basil leaves along with cabbage 


  • Stir fry all vegetables for 2 to 3 minutes on a high flame and add a tablespoon of soya sauce to this. As you see the vegetables are cooked but crisp, switch-off the flame 

  • Serve it hot......  I Like to have this with steam rice or Noodles 




Tips :
  • Use open pan for stir frying and don't over crowd it
  • For stir frying use dry vegetables otherwise vegetables will be soggy and loose the crispy texture

Oats, pulses and spinach all are very healthy ingredients but if we try to serve them to our kids the expressions given are - it so boring I don't like this. But being a mother I always try to make food which is healthy and good for my family so I mixed all the three super foods together and created a delicious patties ....



Preparation time : 10 Min

Cooking Time : 25 Min

Makes : 10 - 12  Patties

Ingredients :



  • 1 Cup cooked yellow moong dal (In a pan cook 1/2 cup dal in 1 cup of water with a 1/2 teaspoon of haldi and salt according to taste. Cook till the water is soaked and dal is soft)
  • 1/2 Cup cooking rolled oats ( I used Quaker Oats )
  • 10 -12 Spinach leaves finely chopped
  • 1 Medium Size chopped onion (Spring onion is better)
  • 6 -7 Fresh garlic leaves chopped (if leaves are not available you can use chopped garlic)
  • 1 Teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • 8 -10 mint leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon chat masala
  • 1/2 Teaspoon chilly flakes
  • Salt according to taste
  • 2 Tablespoon oil 
Procedure :
  • Cook dal and keep aside
  • Finish all cutting and chopping
  • In a bowl take cooked dal, oats, spinach, onion, ginger, green chiles, garlic leaves, mint leaves, chat masala, chilly flakes, salt and teaspoon of oil






  • Mix all ingredients together nicely


  • Take a small portion of mixture on your hand and form a round flat tikki


  • Repeat these steps with rest of the mixture

  • Now take a non-sticky pan and cook tikkies on it on medium flame with a teaspoon of oil till these are cooked from both sides



  • Serve it hot with a cup of tea or coffee....

Usually I wrote about ways to make exotic food in easy and simple way by using easily available ingredients. You will agree with me we all have a chef inside us who wants to prepare something special for our nears and dears but due to lack of confidence of cooking we are unable to do that ...

Few days back one of my friend Anu introduced me to a very beautiful concept of a culinary portal that delivers the finest quality of pre-portioned ingredients and recipes so that you can enjoy home-cooking of global cuisines and surprise your friends and family with your culinary skills.

When she explained this concept, I felt is it really so. Are the ingredients fresh, if portions are well balanced then I ordered one and really I was surprised by the quality of ingredients they are so fresh, clean and recipe is so well explained.

I am sharing my Experience of Penang Curry with Green Ladle....





Cooking Time : 25 - 30 Min

Ingredients :

  • 3 Tablespoon Laska paste
  • 5 - 6 Kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 Tablespoon Chopped Galangal
  • Packet of chopped vegetables
  • 1 Stick lemon grass
  • 1 Tablespoon crushed peanuts
  • 180 gm Coconut powder
  • 1 Teaspoon chilly flakes
  • 1 Lemon





Procedure :
  • Add coconut milk powder with 300ml of water and keep aside


In a pan take 75 ml of water add Laksa paste in it and boil it in a pan


  • Add chopped galangal, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves and boil it for 5 -6 minutes







  • Now add vegetables like broccoli, carrot, baby corn and cook for 5 minutes







  • Now add zucchini and mushrooms 






  • Now add coconut milk powder to this and cook for 10 -12 minutes








  • Finish it by adding few drops of lemon juice, Chinese cabbage and crushed peanuts








  • Sprinkle some chilly flakes and serve it with steamed rice
