Stuffed Moong Dal Chilla  

In winters eating moong dal chilla used to be a delicacy during good old days. Today kids like more junk food, more cheese, more corns, bell peppers etc. Same is the scenario at my home. Conventional dishes are no more attractive to this generation.

So I prepared dal chilla with the stuffing of all her favourite veggies like bell pepper, corns, paneer etc. whatever they like. This makes this Stuffed Moong Dal Chilla healthy, nutritious and tasty.




Preparation Time : 15 Min

Resting Time : 2 to 3 hours

Cooking Time : 10 to 15 min

Ingredients :



  • 1 Cup soaked moong dal (for 2 to 3 hours)
  • 2 Tablespoon rice flour
  • 2 to 3 Green chillies 
  • 1 Teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 2 Tablespoon grated paneer
  • 2 Tablespoon blanched sweet corns
  • 2 Tablespoon chopped bell pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon pizza seasoning
  • Salt according to taste
  • Oil for cooking
Procedure :  
  • Take 1 cup moong dal, wash it and soak it in enough water for 2 to 3 hours

  • In a grinder, take soaked moong dal along with chopped green chilies, ginger and salt and grind it into smooth paste. Transfer this in a bowl and keep aside



  • In this mixture add rice flour and mix it well. Make sure that the batter is in a free flowing form if required add little water to this



  • Take another bowl and prepare stuffing. In a bowl add grated paneer, corns, bell pepper, chopped green chillies, salt and pizza seasoning and mix it well






  • Take a non sticky pan sprinkle few drops of oil and spread one tablespoon of moong dal batter on it, as shown in picture


  • Now add a tablespoon of stuffing to this and spread it




  • Spread some more batter on it as shown in picture to cover the stuffing

  • Cook it on medium flame, when it is done from one side, turn it, apply few drops of oil and cook it till it is cooked from both the sides nicely




  • Serve it hot with the choice of chutney or sauce 

Tip :

  • You can change stuffing according to your taste 
  • Rice flour is optional I added as it makes chill more crispy

Hurray....Christmas celebrations are on...new year is knocking....our moods and spirits are high and we wish to have fun and masti. Wherever we see we find places like malls, shops, offices etc. are decorated in red and white colour. So let us have some fun in christmas colours in our desserts.

I prepared this simple dessert, keeping it in sync with our mood. Ingredients are easily available in the market and you can prepare this exotic dish in an easy manner at home. You will find this not only simple but also tasty and cute one bringing lot of rejoice on the face of your family members. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...




Preparation Time : 40 Min

Cooking Time : 10 Min

Ingredients : 


  • Chocolate cake 4 Slices (readymade or home cooked)
  • 1 Packet Jelly, (easily available in market) I used strawberry flavour 
  • 1 Cup canned mixed fruit 
  • 11/2 Cup whipped cream


Procedure : 

  • I used simple biscuit cake for recipe click 
  • Prepare jelly according to the instructions given and keep it aside



  • Take a short glass, fill it 1/4th with crushed biscuit cake

  • With the help of piping bag fill a layer of whipper cream as shown in picture

  • Now place a layer of jelly. Again fill the glass with whipped cream



  • And top-up the glass with mixed fruits 

  • Enjoy your Christmas eve with family, friends and Dessert Cup...

Corn Methi Kebab (Corn Fenugreek Cutlet)  

As you know I love cooking and I love to use easily available ingredients at home in my day to day preparations, so that I can pack my items with additional nutrients and aroma. I oftenly use veggies like methi and palak to achieve different results.

One such product where i experimented is Corn Cutlets (Kababs). Here in this preparation I added methi and this made Kababs loaded with additional nutrients, flavour and aroma. I liked it and I hope you will also try it and love it.




Preparation Time : 20 Min

Cooking Time : 20 Min

Ingredients : 


  • 1 Cup blanched and crushed sweet corns
  • 1 Cup methi (fenugreek) leaves
  • 2 Boiled potatoes
  • 2 Tablespoon bread crumbs
  • 1 Teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 2 Tablespoon chopped onion
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • Salt according to taste
  • Red chilly powder according to taste
  • 1 Teaspoon dry mango powder
  • 1 Lemon juice 
  • Cooking oil 1 Tablespoon plus for shallow frying
Procedure :
  • Take methi leaves; clean, wash and chop them 
  • Take sweet corns; blanch them, coarsely grind them as shown in picture


  • Finish all cutting and chopping
  • In a pan take a tablespoon of oil, heat it add chopped ginger and cook it for a minute

  • Now add chopped onions and cook it till it is translucent, add green chillies and half of the chopped methi leaves, cook it for a minute and then put off the flame




  • Take a bowl add mashed potatoes, crushed corns, methi leaves, bread crumbs, salt, chilly powder, dry mango powder, lemon juice and cooked onion methi mixture





  • Mix all ingredients nicely 

  • Take small portion of this mixture and shape them into cutlet

  • Shallow fry these cutlets in a non-stick pan till these are cooked properly. Repeat the same steps with the remaining mixture and serve with hot cup of tea ....




Tip :  

  • You can add spices according to your taste
