Pizza Bun

Pizza Bun



Hungry kids at 5 PM, need something fast and furious. They are attracted max to pizza and burger, but junk foods can't be served often. This option will taste similar but filled with nutritious veggie content. You can also surprise their friends get-togethers at home with this.




Preparation Time : 10 Min

Cooking Time : 5 Min

Ingredients :

  • 4 Bun
  • 1 Cup boiled sweet corn
  • 2 Tablespoon diced onion
  • 2 Tablespoon diced capsicum
  • 2 Tablespoon diced bell pepper
  • Few cherry tomatoes
  • 4 - 5 Olives
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped jalapeno
  • 1/2 Cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Teaspoon chilly flakes
  • 1 Teaspoon oregano
  • Salt according to taste

Procedure :
  • Finish cutting and chopping
  • Keep your microwave in preheat mode
  • Now in a bowl, add sweet corn, onion, capsicum, bell pepper, olive, jalapeƱo, tomato, salt, oregano, chilly flakes, 1/2 cheese and few drops of olive oil and mix well







  • Now take buns remove the top of the bun and make a hole in bun as shown in picture


  • Now brush the bun with butter from inside and outside

  • Fill the bun with the mixture, top it up with some more cheese


  • Take a tray, brush it with few drops of olive oil and butter, place filled buns on the tray

  • Put the tray in preheated microwave oven on convection mode for 5 minutes at 250 degree c



  • Once done take it out, sprinkle some mixed herbs and enjoy ...

Channa Palak Pulao (Gram Spinach Rice)



When ever I am cooking I just thought of my daughter, family and a big question what to do to add more nutrition to my food as this time while cooking rice in lunch just found some boiled channa in my fridge and fresh spinach in my kitchen garden and prepared protein and iron rich pulao. So friends always try to add more healthy ingredients to your normal daily food and it will do wonders...



Preparation Time : 20 Min

Cooking Time : 25 Min

Ingredients :


  • 1 Cup basmati rice, soaked for 20 min in water
  • 1 Cup Boiled kala channa  
  • 1 Cup sliced spinach 
  • 2 Tablespoon oil for cooking
  • 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Whole spices (2 bay leaves, 2 cardamom, cinnamon stick, 2 to 3 cloves, few black peppers)
  • 2 -3 green chillies
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped ginger
  • 1 Sliced onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1/2 Teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 Teaspoon garam masala
  • Chilly powder according to taste
  • salt according to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
Procedure :
  • Finish all the preparation first like cutting, chopping and soaking rice
  • Now take a pan or kadai add oil in it and all whole spices and saute it

  • Now add chopped ginger and garlic to this and cook for 2 minutes

  • Now add sliced onion and cook till it is light brown in colour

  • Add chopped tomato and cook for 2 to 3 minutes and add turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt and green chillies, saute it



  • Add chopped spinach and boiled channa to this and cook for 5 to 6 minutes 



  • Now add soaked rice to this and cook for another 3 to 4 m minutes


  • Sprinkle garam masala and and toast it, now add 2 cups of water and a tablespoon of lemon juice



  • Close it with lid and cook on medium flame till it is done

  • Once done close the gas but don't open the lid, let it rest for 10 minutes


  • Channa pulao is ready serve with curd and salad ...





Tips : Adding lemon juice while cooking rice. It helps in making rice "Khilla Khilla" rice is not sticky

Veggie Bread Sticks

Veggie Bread Sticks

Everytime serving a different and healthy breakfast challenges your creativity a lot. I want to give vegetables to my daughter, who is always resisting it in breakfast. With this option I hide vegetables in bread sticks and served a viable option.



Preparation Time : 15 Min

Cooking time : 10 Min

Ingredients :


  • 4 Brown bread slices
  • 1 Teaspoon garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon chopped chilly
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped onion
  • 2 Tablespoon chopped french beans
  • 2 Tablespoon grated carrot
  • 2 Tablespoon chopped capsicum
  • 2 Tablespoon chopped cabbage 
  • 1 Mashed boiled Potato
  • 1 Teaspoon soya sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt according to taste
  • 3 Tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1/2 Cup Bread crumbs
  • 1/2 Cup maida paste (in a bowl take 1 tablespoon of maida, 1/2 cup of water, salt and few chilly flakes and mix well and form a smooth paste)


Procedure :
  • Finish all cutting and chopping of vegetables. Prepare maida paste and keep aside.
  • In a pan take 1 tablespoon of oil, add garlic and chopped chillies to this and saute for a minute

  • Now add onion, cook for a minute then add beans to this and saute for 2 minutes, add grated carrot to this and cook for 2 minutes


  • Now add capsicum and cabbage to this saute for minute, add salt and black pepper. Now add mashed boiled potato, soya sauce and tomato sauce and mix well. Once the mixture is ready keep aside let it be cooled







  • Now take bread slice spread veggie mixture on top side of bread and apply maida paste on this (a thin layer) and spread bread crumbs on this as show in picture 




  • Now take a non stick pan, apply little oil to it and cook the bread slice from both sides as shown in picture



  • Before serving cut bread slice in sticks .... and serve with tea or coffee ...

Tips : You can change the vegetable filling according to your taste ...
