Sukhe Channe (Dry Channa)
Sukhe chatpate kaaley chane is one of all time favourite dish to be served with puri halwa. Kala chana is a good source of protein and can be served to our growing kids as evening snacks
During navratri poojan, we serve halwa, puri and chholey as prashaad.

Ingredients :
- 2 Cup Kala Chana (Soaked in Water for 6 - 8 hours)
- 1 Teaspoon jeera
- Pinch of Hing (Asafoetida)
- 1/2 Teaspoon haldi powder (turmeric)
- Salt according to taste
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- Chilly Powder according to taste
- 1 Teaspoon amchoor (dry mango powder)
- 2 Tablespoon chopped coriander
- 1 Tablespoon cooking oil
Procedure :
- Soak kala channa in water and keep aside for 6 to 8 hours. Add kala channa in pressure cooker along with 5 cups of water and a teaspoon of salt. Now pressure cook this for 25 to 30 minutes on low flame or till it is cooked properly. Once it is cooked separate the water from this
- In a pan, add cooking oil after a minute add jeera, pinch of hing, haldi powder, salt , chilly powder chopped green chiles and mix it well
- Now add boiled kala channa to this, cook it for 5 to 6 minutes
- Add amchoor powder and chopped coriander to this
- Serve it with puri and halwa
