Lemony Vermicelli


Vermicelli Snacks with twist of lemon. Best thing about this is some time we don't have vegetable at home that time we can make this light, healthy and yummy snack.... Best for kids tiffin or breakfast. 

Preparation Time : 10 Min

Cooking Time : 15 Min

Ingredients :

For Vermicelli
  • 1 Cup vermicelli
  • 1 Teaspoon oil
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • Water for boiling

For Tarka or Tempering
  • 2 Tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 Teaspoon  mustard seeds
  • 2 Dry red chilly
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon urad dal
  • 1 Teaspoon (channa dal)bengal gram dal
  • 2 Chopped green chillies
  • Pinch of Turmeric powder (haldi)
  • 2 Onions sliced
  • 1/2 Cup roasted groundnuts
  • 3 - 4 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Procedure :
  •  In a bowl take enough water boil it with salt,oil and vermicelli. once vermicelli is cooked stain it and rum under cold water and keep aside
  • For tempering take a pan add oil heat it now add mustard seeds, red chilly, urad dal, channa dal,curry leaves and chopped green chillies saute it

  • Now add sliced onion saute  it nicely. add turmeric powder and roasted peanuts cook it for 2 min

  • Now add boiled vermicelli and  lemon juice mix it well and remove it from gas

  • Lemony vermicelli is ready.....
